Kelly Klotz has been in the dental profession for over 10 years, and in that time she has worked in every position of practice except that of the actual dentist. That means she has covered the front desk and she has worked behind the scenes as a dental assistant in the back office. Today she is a registered dental hygienist working in a private practice and an instructor at Rio Salado School of Dental Hygiene in Phoenix.

Over the years, she has found that she answers a lot of the same questions from patients, friends, and family. She figures if all these people share the same concerns, there are probably a lot more of you out there who want these questions answered, too. So, Kelly Klotz decided to write this booklet. She has tried to keep it simple so everyone can understand the answers. No person or company has paid her to answer the questions in any certain way.
